When creating a website on Mintmunk, the domain is owned by you, under your name. However, if you need to transfer the domain to another person or organization, this can be done for free if you keep the domain under the same domain registrar we use (Gandi.net). If you want the domain to be transferred to a different domain registrar, other than Gandi this will require Ownership Transfer, which incurs a $30 fee paid in advance. We would love to offer this for free but unfortunately, it also costs us money when changing registrars. This action can be started in the Support section.

Keep in mind you always have the option of registering your domain with any registrar you want and then redirecting the DNS to MintMunk. When creating a website this can be done by selecting Custom Domain > Use Existing Domain.
